Carex virgata (Swamp Sedge / Pūkio)

This is an erect sedge which can cope with slightly drier conditions than Carex secta. Plant in the next row back from stream edges, wetlands and dam projects. Good for ducks and fully frost hardy. The seed was originally collected from the Lake Tutira shore line.
